Two relief centres with 74 victims open in Johor

Seventy-four victims from 21 families have been evacuated to two flood relief centres in the districts of Segamat and Tangkak as at 8am today.
Johor State Civil Defence Director Col (CD) Mat Zin Bujang said the evacuation centre at the Segamat Kecil Orang Asli Settlement Community Hall in the district of Segamat accommodated 52 victims from 16 families.
"In the district of Tangkak, a relief centre was set up at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Sialang which sheltered 22 victims from five families," he said in a statement here.
Mat Zin said the process of evacuating victims began late yesterday afternoon until last night.
However, he added, the weather for the moment was good.
