Two students die after being hit by 'ghost lorry'

Two students, aged 12 were killed while another student sustained injuries in an accident involving 19 vehicles in front of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Damai Perdana, Cheras here today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, Mohd Safiq Mohd Noor said the preliminary report revealed that the incident occurred after a lorry lost control and rammed into 15 motorcycles parked in front of a school.
The lorry had reportedly rammed into a van before it collapsed on the van. It is learnt that the two students were in the proximity when the 1.20pm incident occurred.
Two stationary vehicles including a Proton Wira and Perodua Alza were also damaged.
“We had to use a crane to lift the lorry and when it has been lifted, we found the two victims,” said mohd Safiq.
The victims’ remains were sent to a hospital to be claimed by the family members while the other injured student was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
