Police have arrested two suspects believed to be involved in a shooting cum slash case involving three men at Rimba Jaya Apartment in Section 16 here, early today.
Shah Alam Police chief ACP Shafien Mamat said the duo, aged 20 and 25, were arrested after they lodged a police report of the incident at a police station this morning.
"In the 3.50am incident, a 53-year-old security guard at the apartment was shot in the waist and slashed in the head while another victim, a 66-year-old man, sustained severe injury in the head.
"Another victim, aged 22, had severe injury in his right limb after he was hit by a car," he said in a statement here today.
Initial investigations revealed the incident occurred when the three victims saw a man attempting to steal a motorcycle before they tried to apprehend the man but he managed to escape.
"The suspect later returned with a group of his friends and attacked the victims," he said.
Shafien said police did not find any firearm at the scene except for a knife, believed to be used in the incident.
All the victims were treated at the Shah Alam Hospital and Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, Klang and reported to be in stable condition.
The case is investigated under Section 3 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971.
