Two teenagers were killed after their car skidded and hit a tree near SMK Tunku Laksamana, Kuala Kedah, here, early today.
Kota Setar Police chief ACP Mohd Rozi Jidin said the car driver Muhammad Fahmi Othman, 18, died upon arrival at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital while passenger Mohammad Naqib Ahamad, 18, was killed at the scene in the 2 am accident.
Mohd Rozi said Muhammad Fahmi, who was driving from the city centre to Kuala Kedah, lost control of the car.
"The car hit the divider before skidding and veering onto the opposite lane, and hit a tree on the side of the road," he said in a statement, today.
He said Mohammad Naqib''s body was also taken to the same hospital. - BERNAMA
