Two workers killed after falling off oil platform in Kemaman

A technician and a mechanic of an oil exploration company were killed after they fell 35-metres down from the Enco-105 oil platform in Kerteh, yesterday.
The victims, Valentine Girak, 31 and Gabriel Lembang, 29, were both from Sarawak.
The victims were inspecting a safety boat before the boat suddenly fell into the sea in the 11.04pm incident.
Both the victims sustained critical head injuries following the fall. Their bodies were sent to the Kemaman Hospital for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, Kemaman Police Chief Che Suza Che Hitam confirmed the incident when contacted but declined to comment further.
