Two Year Four students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Durian Burung drowned while fishing at Sungai Kampung Pulau Rusa, here, on Friday.
The bodies of Mohammad Nor Iman Mamat and Muhammad Aiman Abdullah were recovered at about 5pm after villagers realised their disappearance on seeing two bicycles by the river and mounted a search for them.
Mohammad Nor Iman's grand mother, Siti Fatimah Mohd, 64, when met at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) here said she only knew of the tragedy after a relative received the news via Whats App and Facebook at 7.30 pm.
Meanwhile Kuala Terengganu police chief ACP Idris Abd Rafar when contacted confirmed the incident.
