A two-month old baby girl died after choking on milk at her home in Kampung Che Deris, Pantai Cahaya Bulan here, early this morning.
The child's father Nik Mohamad Azhari Nik Ibrahim, 27, said he realised his daughter Nik Nur Ainul Mardhiah was unconscious at 5 am this morning.
"My wife fed the baby milk at 3 am and put her to sleep before we dozed off.
"I woke up about two hours later and noticed mucus running from her nose and her body had turned cold," he told reporters here today.
A police spokesman at Badang police station said police received a report on the incident at 7 am this morning and the infant's death was confirmed by a doctor at the Badang Health Clinic.
