UiTM student dies after being hit by lecturer's car

A student from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) died yesterday after she was knocked down by a car driven by a lecturer of the same university in the campus grounds here yesterday.
The victim, Fatin Farradia Yusof, 20 was walking after she took pictures with her friends at the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies area.
The impact hurled the second year Diploma in Sports Science and Recreation student down the slope to a bus stop below.
The second year student from Diploma in Sports Science and Recreation died about 7.30pm yesterday at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) Klang ue to succumb severe internal blood injuries.
UiTM Communications and Media Studies Faculty dean Prof Dr Azizul Halim Yahya when contacted indicated that the victim lost consciousness and was rushed to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) in Klang.
The victim, from Dungun, Terengganu was confirmed dead around 7.30 pm, at the hospital due to internal bleeding, he said.
"The lecturer's car then hit the divider while the victim rolled down to a hill with the height about five meters and fainted before she was taken to the HTAR" he said.
Meanwhile, the lecturer aged 58, whose car had then hit the road divider, is been warded at a private hospital for observation.
"She complained of headache before the incident, which had caused her to lose control of the car," said Azizul.
“The lecturer is now having treatment in nearby private hospital here for further surveillance from the doctor,” he said.
Meanwhile, Fatin Farradia’s body was understood will bring back to her hometown in Dungun, Terengganu for burial after the investigation process is done.
When contacted, Shah Alam Police Chief Assistant Commissioner, Azisman Alias confirmed the police have received a report regarding the incident.
