UMNO Kelantan stand in solidarity with PAS on hudud - Kok Lanas state assemblyman

The unequivocal support demonstrated by Kelantan UMNO member of parliament in the amendments tabling of the Syariah Criminal Code II Enactment Kelantan (1993) 2015, is solely for Allah.
Kok Lanas state assemblyman, Datuk Md Alwi Che Ahmad said the support by UMNO MPs against the amendments which comprise the hudud bill, is sincere and not political.
“I support the implementation of hudud because of Allah. UMNO is giving its support because of Allah, it is not political at all. We will face similar problem. They come from various groups to hinder the effort,” said Md Alwi during addressing the guests at the 13th Kelantan State Legislative Assembly in Kelantan, today.
The Kelantan UMNO Information chief was also seen looking sullen as he read out Al-Quran recitations to substantiate the facts in his speech,
He also called out PAS and UMNO leaders to cooperate in ensuring the Kelantan government's wish to implement the hudud law is materialised.
“I’m worried that the state government would face many obstacles. Let us together form a bond in facing the adversities,” he added.
