UMNO, PAS officially agree to register Muafakat Nasional

KUALA LUMPUR:UMNO and PAS have agreed to officially register the Muafakat Nasional coalition with the Registrar of Societies Malaysia (ROS).
The matter was confirmed by the secretary-general of the two parties, Tan Sri Annuar Musa and Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan in a joint media statement on Tuesday.
"The leadership of Muafakat Nasional has agreed together to give commitment to continue to strengthen unity and cooperation between the parties in preparation for the upcoming GE15," said the two.
The announcement was made today even though the meeting of the Muafakat Nasional consultative committee last night was cancelled due to the situation of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), in the Klang Valley.
However, both of them declined to comment further on the move.
