Recently a video went viral on a University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) student, Veveonah Mosibin who climbed up a tree to gain internet access in order to take her online examination.
The video uploaded on June 12 on her YouTube platform, Veveonah M received over 150,000 views and received positive reactions and comments and was also shared by UMS.
In a recent video uploaded on June 14, Veveonah from Kampung Sapatalang in Pitas, Sabah, expressed her happiness with the support and motivation she received following the video.
"Today is one of the most historic days, in fact today I am very happy and excited for I have garnered 1,330 more subscribers.
“I really appreciate your support. Thank you for supporting my videos including my university for sharing my videos. I will try to reply the comments and generate more interesting videos," she said.
Before this, Veveonah posted an 11-minute video entitled "24 hours on the tree challenge" featuring her climbing a tree in order to gain strong internet access to answer examination questions.
Initially, the basic science student had built a small hut for that purpose but the hut was damaged due to the weather several hours before the examination.
With a mosquito net, two mobile phones, a power bank, stationery, rice and drinks, Veveonah managed to answer two examination papers while on the tree.
The video also featured Veveonah's anxious moments as she had to persevere with the presence of hornets while taking the examination and her decision to spend the night on the tree as the weather got darker.
Veveonah also posted some videos about her life in the village including how to build an underground well and peeling coconuts without using tools.
