Unhealthy API reading in Seberang Jaya
Thirty areas in Pulau Pinang recorded moderate API readings. - Bernama
Seberang Jaya 2 in Perai recorded unhealthy air pollutant index (API) reading of 101 as at noon.
According to the Environment Department, 30 areas recorded moderate API readings, among them, Alor Setar (85), Nilai (61), Tanjung Malim (55) and Putrajaya (52).
Other areas which recorded moderate readings are Seri Manjung (94), Perai (86), Banting (63) and Port Dickson (53).
An API reading of between zero and 50 indicates good air quality; between 51 and 100, moderate; between 101 and 200, unhealthy; between 201 and 300, very unhealthy and over 301, hazardous.
