US dollar edges lower

NEW YORK: The US dollar weakened in late trading on Wednesday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased by 0.86 per cent to 106.084 at 3:00 pm (2000 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro advanced to US$1.0563 from 1.0473 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was up to US$1.2673 from US$1.2546 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 151.03 Japanese yen, lower than 153.11 Japanese yen of the previous session. The US dollar lost to 0.8819 Swiss francs from 0.8873 Swiss francs, and it fell to 1.4031 Canadian dollars from 1.4062 Canadian dollars. The US dollar dropped to 10.9132 Swedish Kronor from 11.0074 Swedish Kronor.
