UTAR vice-president dies in fall from bicycle

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman vice-president lost control of his bicycle, fell on the road and died at the scene.
Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) vice-president, Teh Chee Seng @ Elvis Teh Chee Seng, 51, died after he fell from his bicycle while riding at KM4.5 Jalan Kampar-Tronoh Mines, near Kampar, last night.
Kampar district police chief, Supt Ng Kong Soon said in the mishap at about 9.50 pm, Teh was cycling in a group with four friends from the direction of Tronoh Mines towards Kampar.
"However, at a spot he lost control of his bicycle and fell on the road. He died at the scene but his cycle was not even damaged," he said in a statement, here, today.
Ng said Teh whose address was Ampang, Selangor, was riding an Exitway bicycle. His body was sent to Kampar Hospital.
Ng said the stretch of road where the incident took place, was straight with two lanes and the weather was fine at the time, but it was dark as there was no road lighting.
