The V8 Supercars back for more KL City Grand Prix
The V8 Supercars did not seem to have enough of the KL City Grand Prix. So here they come again!
Challenge 2
It was a sunny morning on Sunday. Challenge two saw the five drivers returning to their grid boxes, still high from the previous night’s race. All five drivers had remained in their respective positions at the start before Lowndes challenged Kelly for P1 which resulted in both Mostert and McLaughlin taking advantage of Kelly’s loose Altima to gain track position. So Todd Kelly was demoted to fourth into the clutches of Erebus driver Will Davison.
Mostert wasted no time at all chasing down Lowndes for the lead and before long the younger driver easily drove pass the Red Bull driver and looked set to take back to back victories. McLaughlin had a harder time trying to overtake Lowndes but he managed to before the end of the race.
In the back, Will Davison managed to give the slower moving Kelly the slip and drove his E63 pass with a few laps to go. So the finishing order for Race 2 was Chaz Mostert, Scott McLaughlin, Craig Lowndes, Will Davison and Todd Kelly.
