Van driver denies stealing money from massage chair

A van driver pleaded not guilty in the Ampang Magistrate's Court here today to a charge of stealing money from a massage chair in a laundry shop, two days ago.
J.Sarawanan, 29, allegedly stole RM145 cash from the machine belonging to Raja Muhammad Afiq Hazwan Raja Kamarulzaman who owned the self-service laundry shop, at No 18-G, Jalan Medan Bukit Indah 4, Bukit Indah, Ampang Jaya at 9.14pm, on July 23 .
Magistrate Mohamad Firdaus Sadina Ali allowed the accused bail of RM3,000 with one surety and fixed August 25 for re-mention.
Deputy public prosecutor Norhashimah Hashim appeared for the prosecution while Sarawanan was unrepresented.
