Vantage Point: Emad Burnat, director of '5 Broken Cameras'
'5 Broken Cameras' is the first Palestinian film to be nominated at the Academy Awards for Best Feature Documentary.
It is a meaningful achievement but beyond the international recognition, the film serves as an important witness and documentation of the day to day struggles of the Palestinian people living under Israeli occupation.
In this film, the story is structured around the live of the director, Emad Burnat and the non-violent resistance movement in his village, Bil’in against land grabs by the Israeli forces.
Join Cynthia Ng as she talks to Emad about his personal struggle in making the film and the message he hopes to impart through his story.
Catch Vantage Point on Thursday (May 30) at 8.30pm.
