Vaping products dealers abide by ban decision

A check at several locations in Permas and Tampoi here found that a majority of dealers are abiding by the ban on the sale of vaping products effective January 1.

Dealer Roy Yau, 43, said he is aware of the vaping ban by the state government and will continue to conduct business until the ban is enforced.

"I am going to close shop and will send the remaining stock such as vaping devices and liquid to my partner in Kuala Lumpur," he told Bernama, here Thursday.

Meanwhile, Mohd Izwandi Suhaimi,29, the shop owner of Mobile Vaporshop, said he was not shocked by the ban decision and will abide by it.

"I don't know what to say, I can't go against the Sultan. I will continue to do business until the end of this month to clear stock," he added.

Meanwhile, members of the public interviewed agreed with the state government ban on the sale of vaping products as it is harmful to the health.

A former vaper who wanted to be known as Wan ,28, said the ban is timely as vaping not only caused health problems and but can be easily abused.

"I was into vaping for about one year until until I experienced shortness of breath. Doctors who examined me said it was caused by vaping," he added.

Meanwhile, Noor Azlan Nardi,42, begs to differ saying that vaping has helped him to quit cigarette smoking.

"Vaping has not affected by health. I am disappointed by the ban decision but will abide by it," said the vaping products dealer.
