Brickfields District Police Chief ACP Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said that police received a report regarding the incident from a 24-year-old man who witnessed the event.
"Initial investigations revealed that a Toyota Hilux and a Toyota Vios exited a parking area near the nightspot and collided with a group of men, causing injuries to approximately two individuals. One of the victims was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
"So far, none of the victims have filed a police report. The case is under investigation," he said.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact the Kuala Lumpur Police Hotline at 03-2115 9999, the Brickfields Police Hotline at 03-2297 9222, or any nearby police station.
Yesterday, a 48-second video went viral on the Facebook account 'Hazel Wan,' showing two vehicles deliberately ramming into a group of men in the area.
One man was seen being thrown into the air after being hit by the Toyota Hilux, while the other vehicle also ploughed into more individuals gathered at the scene.
Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur Deputy Police Chief Datuk Azry Akmar Ayob, when contacted, said that preliminary investigations suggest the incident was caused by a dispute between the suspect's group and the victim's group while they were at a nearby nightclub.
He added that so far, four men have been arrested to assist in the investigation.
"A remand application for them will be made today to facilitate investigations under Section 307 of the Penal Code," he said.
