Veteran actor, Datuk Zulkifli Zain, 76, has died in his residence at Ukay Perdana at about 7.30 pm last night due to complications from various diseases.
His son, Norzaza confirmed his father's death when contacted by Bernama.
He said the veteran actor took his last breath with his wife Normala Omar and children at the bedside.
Zulkifli who was the former Malaysian Veteran Artistes Welfare Association president, had high blood pressure, diabetes as well as heart and kidney problems, was warded in the hospital several times.
The late actor appeared in his first film, Jiwa Remaja in 1975 and went on to act in more than 10 movies as well as hundreds of dramas in his career in the entertainment world.
His remains would be buried in the Ukay Perdana Muslim Cemetery after Zohor prayers today.
