She said the company is also slated to include games focusing on Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
A video-game that applies basic secondary school chemistry is set to be released in June this year for seven countries including Malaysia and Singapore.
Solving puzzles and quests using chemistry elements, the video-game called ChemCaper will cover the basic secondary school chemistry syllabus.
The educational role playing game will also be made available on the Apple App Store as well as Google Play Store.
The video-game, a product of ACE EdVenture, is also based on Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).
ACE EdVenture academic director, Melinda Lim said the video-game is aimed to help students understand Chemistry subject through play and connect the information.
“We chose Chemistry to be first subject because it is frequently considered to be the hardest subject to pass,” she told Astro AWANI.
“Chemistry is one subject where every topic is interlinked and their ambition is to bring the subject to life on a medium which is second nature to kids,” she added.
She said the company is also slated to include games focusing on Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
“By 2020, education as we know it will look nothing like today,” she added.
She said the idea of gamifying education was conceptualised by the company’s founder and group chief executive officer Anne Tham and her team of educators.
“Gamifying education is the way to reinvent education,” she said.
