The Perak government has urged the authorities to act fast to curb daredevils from carrying out death-defying acrobatic acts without the permission in the State.
State Secretary, Datuk Seri Ahmad Puhat Mat Nayan said, daredevil activities have become a trend among youngsters and the act must be stopped immediately as it can cause harm to the public.
He said the government prohibit any acts to seek for cheap publicity by documenting spine-tingling stunts on the social media.
Such cheap publicity only brings harm to the public and the authorities fear for any copycat stunts.
Ahmad Puhad was commenting on a video featuring a teenager's hair-raising antics climbing a 30-feet crane ladders at a construction site near Jalan Bougainvillea located next to Ipoh City Council building here.
The 1.22-minute video, titled ‘Viral aksi berani remaja lelaki pula panjat kren’ has gone viral since it was uploaded by a user named ‘Viral Malaysia’ on Dec 31.
He also added that the teenager’s act can cause harm to the road users and pedestrians in the area.
“The City Council has been urged to take action towards the construction site manager who was careless in carrying out his duties by allowing trespassers into the area.
“It is the responsibility of the project manager in ensuring that the site is impenetrable as it is a prohibited area," he said.

The moment he reached the top, the teenager was seen sitting down while recording himself against the backdrop of Greentown, Ipoh.

Among the programmes offers include mountaineering and motor sports.
