Volkswagen international updates looks for two models
Volkswagen AG started the New Year with the introduction of two new special editions for two different models. The CC and Scirocco now has unique eye-catching features added to their faces.
Starting with the Volkswagen CC, the CC now comes with two new Black Edition model trims. Both the CC GT Black Edition and CC R-Link Black Edition builds on the already stylish CC GT and CC R-Line. Both editions add black front grille, electric tilting sunroof and a set of new style wheels, 18-inch Lakeville alloy wheels for the GT Black Edition and 18-inch Talladega alloys on the R-line Black.
Interior upgrades include seats covered in Nappa leather upholstery with carbon fibre-style decorative inserts on the front and side doors while the centre console is finished in piano black inserts.
The Scirocco on the other hand gets the GTS badge and the engine produces a standard 217bhp and 350Nm of torque and unlike the versions in Malaysia, the Scirocco GTS actually comes with a manual option which accelerates its way to a top speed of 246kph while the version with an automatic transmission hits 245kph.
In terms of styling, the Scirocco GTS shares most of its styling cues with the Scirocco R-Line with the addition of black gloss door mirror casings. The GTS is easy to tell apart from its other Scirocco counterparts thanks to the special GTS decals stripes on the bonnet, roof and tailgate.
Too bad we wouldn’t get to know these special edition Volkswagens up close and personal, what are the odds that VW Malaysia would want to bring in one of these cars to our markets? We can only hope!
