Its chief Datuk Dr Noraini Ahmad said the decision also referred to any party that has ties with DAP, including Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Protem Chairman of Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang), Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
In a statement today, the Parit Sulong Member of Parliament said they will continue to stick to efforts to strengthen Muafakat Nasional.
“Wanita UMNO Malaysia as the backbone of the party will always be committed and firm with the party's decision, which is firmly in line with the decision of the UMNO Supreme Council members who have agreed to 'no DAP'.
"There is no cooperation with anyone who has ties with DAP and we shall continue to strengthen Muafakat Nasional.
“Wanita UMNO is also confident and believe in the wisdom of the top leadership in leading the party in the direction of the people's interests in accordance with the status of this sacred party in the country," according to the statement.
Noraini, who is also the Minister of Higher Education, said Wanita UMNO hoped all party members would be calm and not make any assumptions that could affect harmony within the party.
Yesterday, a letter stating that UMNO President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and several other UMNO MPs supported and gave undivided allegiance to Anwar to become the Prime Minister, went viral.
However, UMNO Executive Secretary Datuk Mohd Sumali Reduan firmly said the letter was fake and it was spread to tarnish the image of Ahmad Zahid.
