Wanita Umno is looking forward to benefits for women entrepreneurs at the announcement of incentives and initiatives for bumiputera entrepreneurs by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak scheduled for Saturday.
Its chief, Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, said in a statement today bumiputera women entrepreneurs undeniably played a role in the national economic development.
"I hope and believe that Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will announce incentives and initiatives for bumiputera women entrepreneurs through the Bumiputera Economic Empowerment Agenda," she said.
Shahrizat said the incentives could assist bumiputera women entrepreneurs in the low-income group.
"Many women are now the head of the household and, if given the opportunity and incentives, can assist the family members and ensure a good education for their children as well," she said.
