PONTIAN: Warisan is poised to be a game-changer if the party decided to contest in the Johor state election, said the party's vice-president Datuk Junz Wong.
However, Wong said, it has yet to be decided and the reason he was in the state was to assess the situation before submitting the report by today to party president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
"He (Mohd Shafie) will decide whether we will contest in Johor, in a few days," he said to reporters at a restaurant last night.
When asked whether Warisan will be part of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) as rumoured, he said there has been no discussion with PH at the moment because they have yet to decide on the Johor state election.
Meanwhile, he also confirmed that Mohd Shafie will be in Johor on Feb 15 and is expected to make an announcement and will be launching Warisan in Johor and from there (at the event) all can see the support from various races for Warisan.

The Tanjung Aru assemblyman also said that the support by many quarters can be seen through membership applications, contradicting claims that Warisan will not be successful in the Peninsula.
As of last month, Warisan has about 20,000 members from 85 branches in the Peninsula, he said.
Earlier, more than 300 Bersatu Tanjung Piai division members including office bearers quit the party and announced that they are joining Warisan with Wong receiving their membership forms.
