Water Department aids villagers in Felda Sahabat

Lahad Datu Water Department today sent aid to villagers who were evacuated to Felda Sabahat following the intrusion of terrorists from Sulu in Kampung Tanduo, about 130km from here.
Its engineer, Samsul Bahriy Marullah, said supply of mineral water, food and clothing, were sent to the Embara Budi community hall using several four-wheel-drive vehicles.
"We, like other caring agencies, are just playing our parts in providing basic necessities to the people and security forces there," he told reporters after flagging off the delivery convoy here today.
Samsul also hoped that more Malaysians would come forward to give aid and assistance to 1,850 people in Embara Budi and Fajar Harapan in Felda Sahabat, including to security forces personnel involved in the operation, codenamed 'Op Daulat' to flush out armed terrorists from Sulu.
Those evacuated to the community halls, were from Kampung Tanduo, Kampung Tanjung Labian and Kampung Tanjung Batu.
