Water level at three rivers in Selangor above warning level
Rainfall in Selangor has caused the water level at three major rivers in Selangor to rise above warning level.
Sungai Langat at 12th Mile, Hulu langat recorded a reading of 4.15 metres, Sungai Langat at Bukit Changgang, Kuala Langat, 4.09 metres while Sungai Selangor at Kuala Badong, Kuala Selangor, 3.89 metres as of 9.30pm Monday night.
Following this, the Drainage and Irrigation Department (JPS) has ordered residents in the areas to always be on alert.
According to the JPS portal, Sungai Lenik in Ladang Chaah, Batu Pahat in Johor also exceeded the warning level when it recorded a reading of 5.64 metres.
Meanwhile, the National Security Council (MKN) stated that the number of flood victims in Selangor rose to 1,357 people with 345 families placed at relief centres in Kuala Langat (four), Kuala Selangor (One) and Sepang (two).
A total 26 victims in Perak were relocated to a relief centre in Manjung, 138 in Johor were relocated to a centre in Batu Pahat while in Melaka, 84 were sent to a centre in Jasin.
