Several areas in Selangor will experience scheduled water supply disruptions due to a temporary stop work at water treatment plants (LRA) in Sungai Selisek, Hulu Selangor and Sungai Rumput, Gombak.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) in a statement said the disruption on Aug 17 from 8am to 11pm would involve areas of Kampung Sungai Nilam/Sungai Pagi, Kampung Lalang, Rumah Murah Peringkat 2, Kampung Serigala, Kampung Orang Asli Serigala, Kampung Bahom, Kampung Sekolah and Kampung Gesir Tengah/PLKN.
The disruption is due to the works to replace wooden baffles in the flocculation tank of LRA Sungai Selisek, Hulu Selangor.
On Aug 20, water supply disruption is scheduled to take place in areas of Batu 12 Jalan Gombak, JPJ Lebuhraya Karak, Kuarters Perhutanan Batu 11 Gombak and Sekolah Memandu Batu 11 Gombak from 8am to 3pm, following upgrading works on the LRA Sungai Rumput, Gombak.
Syabas advised consumers to store adequate water and to use water prudently throughout the disruption period as affected consumers will have their water supply restored in stages.
