The water supply in most areas in the city, which was disrupted following pump trips at the Wangsa Maju pumphouse last Saturday, has been restored except for houses in higher grounds.

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Department assistant general manager Priscillia Alfred said 5,500 household users in Selangor, however, were still experiencing water disruption.

"Four pump trips were triggered last Saturday causing a critical decline in water levels at Syabas main ponds," she said.

She said among the areas affected by the problems at the Wangsa Maju pumphouse were Lembah Jaya Utara, Desa Lembah Permai, Kampung Muhibbah, Kampung Tasek Permai, Kampung Ampang Campuran, Kampung Tasik Tambahan, Taman Seri Baru and Taman Dagang Jaya.
