Water supply to resume at 16 areas that faced water disruption - Syabas

Water supply will resume at 16 areas that experienced piped water supply disruption in the capital since this morning by 6am tomorrow.
According to Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) in a statement here today, efforts were underway to raise the level of reservoirs as quickly as possible.
"However, water supply to premises in hilly areas and at the end of the distribution network will recover in stages," said the statement.
According to Syabas, as part of efforts to improve the efficiency of the water treatment system, work to quickly repair damaged critical equipment at the Bukit Petaling reservoir, was carried out today.
The areas involved were TUDM Sg Besi, Jalan Lapangan Terbang, Jalan Sg Besi, Jalan Wisma Putra, Wisma Putra, Jalan Syed Putra, Jalan Belamy, Jalan Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, Jalan San Peng, Jalan Hang Tuah, Taman Seputeh, Taman Bukit Seputeh, KL Sentral, Brickfields, Chan Sow Lin and Salak Selatan.
According to Syabas, hospitals and dialysis centres would be given priority with assistance from tanker lorries.
