Water woes among Klang Valley residents continue as the fourth phase of rationing begins Friday, affecting more areas.
According to the National Water Services Commission (SPAN) and Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas), some 1.3 million households and 6.7 million users will face water disruptions until April 30.
Despite steady rainfalls in the Klang Valley since March 16, water reserves at dams in Selangor continued to fall, causing more worries as the situation prolongs.
Astro AWANI went to the ground and spoke to several business operators who have been severely affected with the water cuts.
The fourth phase of the Water Supply Rationing Plan issued by SPAN and SYABAS will affect nine districts namely Gombak, Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat and Sepang.
The affected areas will receive two days of water supply and two days of rationing.
Meanwhile, phases one and three will continue to be implemented in the affected areas based on the schedule previously issued and will also be extended until April 30.
