PUTRAJAYA:Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, stressed that the decision involving the COVID-19 pandemic made by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) is a joint decision of various experts in the ministry.
According to him, the notion that only the director general of health made the decision regarding COVID-19 is not true at all.
He said every day all parties concerned will meet and discuss all aspects and issues involving COVID-19 that arise before any decision and announcement is made and announced by him.
"Sometimes people just attack me, say I'm arrogant but I'm not the only one who makes decisions.
"The views I have given to the National Security Council (MKN) and the public are the views of the MOH.
"I am only a messenger," he said in a virtual media briefing session on Monday.
He said there were many people involved in making every decision and he and his team evaluate and understand every data and facts presented before it is simplified and shared with the media.
