Weak earthquake occurs in Tuaran, Sabah

A weak earthquake has occurred at 8:41am today, with a magnitude of 2.7, about 16km southeast of Tuaran, Sabah.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department said tremors of the earthquake were felt in Ranau.
The epicentre was at 6.1 degrees north and 116.3 degrees east, the department said.
Last week, a 6.0 magnitude earthquake rocked Sabah, with tremors felt in many places and sending rocks and boulders crashing down Mount Kinabalu.

Eighteen people, including four mountain guides were killed in the incident.Ten of them were from Singapore, six from Malaysia, one from Japan and one from China.
