Who is Ruby Rose?

If you haven’t got a clue, well, you have either been off social media for a while now or stranded on a desert island with no internet access. We are talking about Ruby Rose, coined by many entertainment websites as universally attractive and well…you be the judge of that (we think YES).

Many know her as Stella Carlin from the 3^rd season of Netflix TV series, Orange Is The New Black. She is also an Australian model, DJ, recording artist and former MTV VJ. Not only is she literally the most prevalent breakout star of the moment due to her earth-shattering popularity derived from her appearance in OITNB, but she is also a modern-day style icon.

She plays a convict in the famous television series but in real life, she isn’t guilty for making any fashion felonies as she keeps on slaying it every single time. She can be seen on the red carpet donning modern, edgy ensembles keeping it usually monochromatic with black, whites, metallics or neutrals. She brings an irreverent, tough girl attitude to everything she wears and has mastered the art of androgynous dressing.

Also Rose is engaged to Roald Dahl’s granddaughter Phoebe Dahl, a fashion designer with an aesthetic that New York Magazine defines as, “Eileen Fisher meets Rag & Bone: bomber jackets, oversize button-ups, and overalls, in eco-friendly, indigo-dyed linen.” Rose also recently publicised that she is very obsessed with Taylor Swift (well who isn’t nowadays?) and wants to be her bestie. So, we think it’s safe to say we can probably assume Rose will be joining the ‘Swift Squad’ sometime soon.

At the moment Ruby Rose is on everybody’s lips and besides having killer genes that turned her into the beautiful specimen is she now, she is also talented and has a great sense of style. Hence, Rose is our admirable “girl crush” of the week! No matter what she's wearing (or how she's styling her identifiable hairdo), the Aussie stunner always looks amazing.
