Wisma Putra: Five Malaysians at Torch Tower Dubai are safe

It was reported a fire ripped through the world's tallest residential building in Dubai on Friday.
Five Malaysians who are residents at The Torch Tower, Dubai are safe following the blaze that struck the tower at 12.45 am local time on Friday, the Foreign Ministry confirmed.
In a statement, Wisma Putra said Malaysians in need of consular assistance are encouraged to reach out to the Consulate General of Malaysia in Dubai at 83 Street 10D, Mankhool, Bur Dubai, P.O. Box 4598, Dubai, United Arab Emirates or via phone +971-4-3985 843 or by email mwdubai@kln.gov.my
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveys its deepest sympathy towards the victims involved in this incident," it said.
It was reported a fire ripped through the world's tallest residential building in Dubai on Friday.
Authorities said residents staying at the 86-storey Torch Tower had been evacuated and no injuries were reported. It was the second blaze at the building since 2015.
