Woman, daughter killed in Sarawak road accident

A woman and her three-year-old daughter died in an accident at Km52 of Jalan Sri Aman-Sarikei early today, according to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department.
A spokesman said Jamayiah Morni, 35, and her daughter, Juma Atun Khodijah Mohammad Rezal, died on the spot in the accident that occurred at 2.18am.
Jamayiah's husband and their two other daughters were injured and sent to the Sarikei Hospital, he said.
The family was travelling in a Proton Wira car to visit a grandmother of the children at the Sarikei Hospital when the car crashed into a lorry parked on the road shoulder, the spokesman said. - BERNAMA
