Woman dies after part of crane hits car on Jalan Raja Chulan

A woman was killed when a part of a crane from a nearby construction site on Jalan Raja Chulan here struck her car.

According to the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department, it is believed that the crane's hoisting block was from a construction site located next to the Pavilion when it fell on her Perodua Kelisa which was driven by the victim.

Operation chief Mohd Samsol Saibani said they received an emergency call at 7.21 pm and arrived at the scene 15 minutes later.

"A team of firefighters and rescuers from the Pudu and Hang Tuah Fire Stations with 16 members rushed to the scene," he told Bernama.
