A woman was found stabbed to death at a staircase of a flat in Section 7 here early today.
The body of Haryati Harun, in her 40s, was found on the sixth floor of the building. She sustained five stab wounds.
Residents stumbled on the body about 2.10am, and alerted the police.
The body was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) in Klang.
About 12 hours later, a police team detained a man, in his 20s, in front of the HTAR mortuary to facilitate investigations into the murder.
It is understood that Haryati, who was still single, was renting a unit with several friends at the flat.
Shah Alam police chief ACP Azisman Alias confirmed the incident.
