Woman gives birth at fast food joint in Kedah

A FAST food restaurant in Sungai Petani, Kedah, welcomed a surprise when a woman who was dining there suddenly went into labor.

Nurul Haslina Abdul Halim was supposed to deliver late this month, but it seemed the baby had other plans.

Nevertheless, Nurul Haslina safely delivered her baby girl at 11.10pm on Sunday at the Marrybrown restaurant in Amanjaya Mall.

Nurul Haslina was eating dinner at the eatery when she felt her waters break.

The restaurant manager quickly called for ambulance and stopped other customers from entering the premises.

Coincidentally, a nurse was passing by and she assisted in the delivery.

Both mother and child were later brought to Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim.

Marrybrown Group CEO, Datuk Joshua Liew informed that the company would arrange a celebration at a Johor branch when the baby girl, named Nor Dayana, returned to her father’s hometown.
