Woman killed after baju kurung got tangled in motorcycle

A woman riding pillion on her son's motorcycle was killed when her baju kurung got entangled in its chain, causing the machine to skid and crash at 3km Jalan Simpang Pelangai-Simpang, Chemomoi near Bentong Tuesday.

Azizah Jamaludin, 40, died on the spot in the 1.10pm crash after sustaining head and body injuries.

Her son, who sustained a broken hand, was treated at the Simpang Pelangai Health Centre.

State public order and traffic police chief Supt Mohamed Fauzi Abdul Rahim yesterday said, Azizah and her son were on their way home from Simpang Pelangai when the incident occurred.

In another case, a security guard was killed when he was hit by a vehicle in Jalan Kuantan-Kemaman near Beserah yesterday afternoon.

Wan Ismail Wan Musa, 56, died on the spot in the 6.25pm incident. The body was sent to the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan.
