Yayasan Peneraju puts Malaysia on the world map

KUALA LUMPUR: Besides producing quality human capital, the beneficiaries of Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera (Yayasan Peneraju) has marked its success on the world stage through various international recognitions.
Yayasan Peneraju, in a statement yesterday, said 59 Peneraju professional scholars, particularly in accounting, obtained 80 awards among high achievers in the world in accounting certification.
“Twenty-six of these scholars have secured first place in the world through 31 Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)/Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) World Prize Winner awards.
“Also, nine scholars of the Chartered Financial Analyst successfully placed themselves in the top 10 per cent of the world in exams while 71 scholars admitted to the top 50 universities in the world to pursue various majors under Peneraju Tunas Potensi,” it said.
Established in 2012, Yayasan Peneraju is an agency under the Prime Minister’s Department focused on strengthening capacity building towards the relevance of Bumiputera talents.
Most recently, Yayasan Peneraju said Iffah Chek Peei, a scholar under the CAT- ACCA programme ranked second for the ACCA Top Affiliate in Malaysia.
She was also a recipient of the World Prize Winner award for Foundations in Taxation (June 2018) and Malaysian Prize Winner for the Advanced Financial Management (March 2020)
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Special Functions), Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof, who also supervises the agency said the programme offered by the Yayasan Peneraju is also in line with the goals of the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030.
He said it was aimed to bridge the income and wealth gap between the economic class, ethnic groups and geographical regions.
“In achieving the SPV2030 agenda, we need to focus on creating skilled, knowledgeable and innovative human capital to meet the needs of the industry,” Mohd Redzuan said.
