Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen has dismissed the incident, where a crowd shouted "no" at her while on stage during a Chinese New Year event in Malacca recently.
The MCA vice-president said she was not hurt or greatly affected by it and was in fact "very happy" that night.
"It's nothing. It's nothing. Nothing. It doesnt affect me at all. I'm very relaxed," said Ng, pinching her fingers to stress how insignificant it was to her.
"You ask the people there . Look, you all are making mountains out of molehill," said Ng, who was swarmed by a group of reporters this evening right after an event in Sunway Pyramid.
Ng said the group, which seemed set to embarras her was a very small group.
"They are very clever. If 10 people say no, what is there? It's a small group sitting at the coffee shop there," she said, adding the video was taken at a particular angle.
Asked if the incident reflects voters semtiment, Ng replied : "There were 10,000 people there, I don't expect all to support BN. We are an open democratic society, you can say what you want."
“I must be very naive to expect 10,000 people to say 'yes'," she said, adding that she was a "veteran" politician and such things are expected.
Ng was also very proud the Ministry was able bring famous director from China Zhang Yimou to Malacca for an event.
"That's RM100million investment in Malacca you know."
The Raub MP was also asked if she is confident of retaining her parliamentary seat if fielded again to which she replied by flashing a wide grin.
On Sunday, Ng had to deal with an apparently stubborn crowd at the Malacca state Chap Goh Meh celebrations held at the city's popular Jonker Walk.
The 'Yes-No battle' occured, when she prompted the crowd several times during her speech by shouting "Yes! Yes! Yes!" but received a "No! No! No!" response from the crowd at Jonker Street.
Videos of the incident, reminiscent of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's crowd response during Korean superstar Psy consert in Penang, has been making its rounds online.
