Before you head back for CNY, Ford has a few lessons for you

Ford Motor Company has expanded the Driving Skills for Life programme to two more higher education institutions, the German Malaysian Institute and Taylor’s University. This effort is to target young adults especially those who will be travelling during the Chinese New Year season.Specially tailored to address challenges faced by young drivers such as how to deal with unexpected situations, distracted driving, and the importance of ensuring child seats are securely fastened, the programme is held just in time before the CNY traffic situation.
A research conducted by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety (MIROS) states that 80 per cent of traffic accidents are caused by human error. So with that in mind, Ford has created to encourage safe driving by equipping participants to make the correct decisions to reduce the chance of these accidents from occurring.
The lessons start inside the classrooms with participants learning about a range of topics from steering control to under-steer and over-steer all the way to tips for the highway driving and driving in the rain. After that lessons will continue outside where participants will learn driving under the influence of alcohol.
