Young girl found beheaded, suspect managed to escape
ZAINUDDIN: The motive of the incident is yet to be identified and further investigation is currently underway under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
A young girl was found beheaded at the edge of the Klang River near the Kuala Lumpur commuter station at Jalan Hishamuddin, here.
The victim whose head was severed from her body was discovered by the public around 9pm on Thursday.
The action was believed to have been done by a foreigner who managed to escape.
Dang Wangi Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Zainuddin Ahmad said the victim who is between the age of two and three was believed to have been kidnapped by the suspect from a shopping mall at Pudu Sentral when she was left with her mother’s friend.
“The police are currently trackking the suspect who escaped as soon as he realised that his action was witnessed by the public. Efforts to trace the foreigner in his 30s’ are in full swing.
“The victim’s parents have been notified and they have identified the body. They have not been questioned as the mother nearly fainted after seeing her child’s condition,” said Zainuddin.
Zainuddin added that fragments of tiles were found near the body. It has yet to be determined if these tiles were used on the victim.
“Based on the marks on the victim, police are not ruling out the possibility of a sharp object used to cut the victim’s neck,” said Zainuddin.
The motive of the incident has yet to be identified and further investigation is currently underway under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
