Youth slashed to death during karaoke session

A youth was slashed to death when he went to check on a quarrel involving a group of people at a karaoke centre in Terminal 2, Seremban.

In the incident, Mohd Hairulnizam Hanafiah, 23, sustained a neck injury and collapsed.

He was sent to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital where he succumbed to the injury about 2am.

District police chief ACP Saiful Azly Kamarudin said the police had identifed the alleged assailant and his accomplices and urged them to surrender to facilitate investigations.

He said about midnight, Mohd Hairulnizam had gone to the centre with seven friends when they heard a group of people quarrelling in a room.

Out of curiousity, the victim went to check on the commotion but ended up being slashed on the neck.
