Youth wanting change encouraged to create their own movements

Post GE13, it is evident that the youth of this country want a more democratic country and more freedom of expression.
However, one social entrepreneur said that instead of waiting for the government to create the change, youth are encouraged to be the change.
“We should take an active role to protect other people and just think about ourselves. When we support other people, the younger generation will have a sense of responsibility for the community. Youth should think of what they can do and they should start today,” said Christopher Tock.
Social Media strategist Veronica Kong said that the youth should maximise the platforms that have been given.
Both were part of the Google Hangout organised by Astro Awani in conjunction with the 2013 Youth Festival happening at Putrajaya from May 23 to 26.
