Youth who allegedly raped his sisters, remanded for a week

The 18-year-old youth who alleged raped his three sisters was remanded for a week beginning today.
He had allegedly committed the act at their home in Sungai Layar, Sungai Petani, Kedah.
The remand order was issued by Magistrate Arif Mohamad Ariff.
Meanwhile, Kuala Muda district deputy police chief Supt Saifi Abd Hamid said the suspect is remanded under Section 376B of the Penal Code to assist in investigations.
The offence carries a jail sentence of 10 to 30 years and whipping.
The youth's mother found out about the matter after one of the sisters had complained to her.
The youth is alleged to have raped his eight-year-old sister at an empty house beside their house at about 8pm, Wednesday.
Police said initial investigation revealed that the suspect had also raped two other sisters, aged nine and 14, in the past.
