The event, themed “Building Better Together”, highlighted the importance of leveraging multi-generational strengths to foster knowledge sharing, collective learning, and resilience building.
Speaking at the forum, Executive Director of YTL Construction, Yeoh Keong Yuan, shared his insights on the value of generational collaboration within the organisation.
“Seventy percent of our workforce today consists of millennials and Gen-Zs
“These younger generations bring fresh ideas, energy, and innovation, helping us shape the future of YTL Construction and the broader construction industry.
"This mix of experience and new perspectives makes us stronger and allows us to continue evolving", said Yeoh.
He also credited the company’s success to its workforce, emphasising the philosophy passed down from his grandfather.
“I often reflect on something my grandfather used to say: The strength of a company lies in its people and their commitment to excellence", shared Yeoh.
The forum brought together industry leaders, innovators, and thought leaders to explore strategies for bridging generational gaps, fostering a progressive workplace, and aligning diverse perspectives toward common goals.
The Gen-Connect forum also served as a platform to celebrate YTL’s legacy of innovation and resilience as the group approaches its 70th anniversary in 2025.
