Zamani gets bail extension until Friday

The police bail on a former singer for Kumpulan Slam, who was detained over drugs seven days ago is extended until Friday. Counsel for the singer, Ahmad Zaharil Muhaiyar told journalists that the investigation paper had been sent to the Deputy Public Prosecutor's office to consider whether to go ahead with the case or otherwise.

Met in the compound of the Ampang Jaya District Police Headquarters, he also said the police bail enabled the singer to rest before the court convened on his case.

The singer, who is popular with the song Gerimis Mengundang, said he was getting healthier and thanked his fans who urged him to be patient during his ordeal.

"I am ok, thank you to fans who still support me," he said.

The 43-year-old singer was detained with a 33-year-old woman, who was also positive on Methaphetamine, at 12.30am, Wednesday.
